Two years later after a huge fight with Zod the people of Metropolis grown bitter at Superman from the destruction of the city. Many felt devastated and helpless from the loss of life and blamed Superman for it including Bruce Wayne (Batman). Lex Luthor decided to do his own plans against Superman while Batman tries to put an end to him as well.
